How much does it cost?

The Digital Marketing Certificate costs $5,000 CAD, plus HST ($5,650 total). This includes fees for teaching, tools, and testing. A deposit of $150 CAD, plus HST is required to secure your spot, with $2,425 CAD, plus HST of the balance due July 15, 2019, and the remaining balance paid no later than August 15, 2019.

What's included in the tuition?

Course materials, online materials (readings, videos, tests), certification examinations (i.e. Google Analytics) and wifi are all included. We provide access to our growing alumni network, so that graduates of the DMC can stay connected and build a network of like-minded digital marketers in the Ottawa area and beyond.

You're responsible for your own coffee, snacks, and meals.

You'll also be responsible for any additional fees arising from the need to redo a test or project.

What types of payment are accepted?

Online payment is available via credit card. Payments are handled by Stripe and are fully secure with end-to-end encryption. Online payment is required for the deposit ($150+HST). Cheques are accepted for the remaining portion ($4,850+HST). If paying by cheque, it is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure receipt of payment by the required due date(s).

What's your cancellation policy?

Joining the DMC is a commitment between both you and us. We're focused on bringing great, practical coaching and instruction from industry professionals to a small group of students for an unparalleled learning experience. For your part, we ask that you commit to spending the time, money, and effort it takes to earn your certificate. As part of a small group, that commitment extends to the cohort of students you'll be working with.

Deposit: Your $150+HST deposit will be held in trust until the cohort is confirmed. If you're unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible as the spot will be opened up for another attendee on the waitlist. In these cases you will be refunded your deposit amount less a 10% processing fee. In extenuating circumstances where the program will no longer be offered, a full refund of your deposit will be given.

Remaining Tuition: Remaining balances paid are refundable, less a 10% processing fee, up until 60 days prior to the program start date. Between 60 and 30 days prior to the program start date 50% of amounts paid will be refunded. Afterwards, refunds will not be possible. In the case that withdrawal from the program is required prior to the start of classes, and after the 30 day period has started, a portion, up to the amount of full tuition less the deposit and transaction fees may be returned if the spot is filled by another student. This situation will be dealt with by the Program Directors and at their sole discretion.

Withdrawal/Failure: If a student wishes to withdraw part-way through the program, or fails to meet the criteria required to achieve passing grades to earn a certificate, no refund will be possible.

Is there any financial support available?

If your employer pays the tuition, your employer can get either 50% or 84% reimbursement through the Canada-Ontario Job Grant program, depending on the employers' company size. Additionally, tuition fees are RESP-eligible.

At this time there are not any scholarships or bursaries available for this program, nor is OSAP support available, as the DMC is a not-for-credit program.

Do you have early bird pricing?

Yes! However, early bird pricing is now closed for our next cohort.

Can I get a tax receipt for this certificate?

Unfortunately, this is not a for-credit program with the University of Ottawa. As such, it is not eligible for a tax receipt.

Will I get a T2202A tax slip?

As the DMC is a not-for-credit professional development program, like the professional development programs in uOttawa's downtown Centre for Executive Leadership, a T2202A tax slip cannot be issued.
